Dare to Self Care
Presented by New Horizons
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and each year we like to kick things off with our annual Dare to Self-Care event! This event emphasizes the importance of self-care, brings awareness to domestic violence in our community, supports those affected by it, and promotes local small businesses owned by women, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC entrepreneurs. Join us on Oct. 5 at the Hmong Cultural & Community Center. This event is open to the public, and there is no fee to enter.
Why Attend?
Domestic violence can erase a person's identity and make them believe that self-care is selfish. But the truth is, self-care is crucial. When we prioritize our well-being, we can be the best version of ourselves which enables us to give our best to others and everything we do.
What to Expect:
Browse and purchase uniquely hand-crafted products while supporting local small businesses. Indulge in rejuvenating self-care activities. connect with local organizations ready to share information on available resources. Grab some complimentary swag, and enter to win a fabulous prize! Come spend an afternoon caring for YOU! It's going to be a fun time, and we can't wait to see you there!
